NOW ACCEPTING WAITLIST REGISTRATION

Starting 6/22/23, the #1 lane eastbound off-ramp to Yerba Buena and Treasure Islands will be closed until Dec 2026.

This will be a long-term hard closure of this off-ramp.

The San Francisco County Transportation Authority, in collaboration with Federal Highway Administration, Caltrans, Bay Area Toll Authority and the Treasure Island Development Authority, will begin construction on the West Side Bridges Retrofit Project on Yerba Buena Island.  The construction will necessitate the closure of the #1 lane eastbound off-ramp from the lower level of the Bay Bridge to Yerba Buena and Treasure Islands.

The closure of the eastbound off-ramp is part of a series of traffic changes coming to Yerba Buena and Treasure Islands as the Transportation Authority, TIDA and Caltrans, retrofit roads and on-/off-ramps that connect the islands to the Bay Bridge.

With the closure of this off-ramp, motorists will need to change their driving habits to utilize the new eastbound Southgate Off-ramp, which was opened on May 7, 2023, as follows:

  • The new Southgate off-ramp is located along the right side (#5 lane) of the eastbound lanes of the Bay Bridge (lower deck) immediately after the Yerba Buena Island Tunnel.

  • Motorists are advised to adhere to the 50 MPH posted speed limit on the Bay Bridge and the 15 MPH speed limit on the off-ramp.

  • Motorists travelling to Treasure Island will follow the gently curving off-ramp to the stop sign at the intersection with Macalla Road, proceed forward over the hill on Macalla Road until it intersects with Treasure Island Road and turn right to go to Treasure Island.
  • Beginning June 17, the 25 Treasure Island bus will see longer travel times due to this construction, which will affect frequencies. The line will run every 20 minutes on weekdays and every 30 minutes on weekends. For more information, visit SFMTA.com/25.

A Caltrans-produced video available here on You Tube demonstrates the recent and upcoming changes to eastbound off-ramp access to Yerba Buena Island

Please refer to the map for additional information.

Please drive safely and share the road at all times.

Questions?  Please contact TIDA at 415-274-0660 or TIDA@sfgov.org.

Dr. Tony Cucalon and his staff are sending their love to all the SFLL players away from the baseball field this season. The San Francisco Little League is something extremely close to Dr. Cucalon’s heart. Not only did both of his sons grow up playing in the league, but he also coached in the SFLL for 6 years. During this time, Cucalon Orthodontics is offering virtual consultations, so we can get started as soon as the shelter in place is lifted. We are offering 10% off of treatment for every SFLL player that schedules a virtual or in-person consultation with us for the months of June and July. Just make sure to mention you are part of the team. Keep your head in the game champs and stay safe and healthy.

The Bella/Harris family sends its best wishes to all SFLL families in this time of social isolation and no sporting events.  We miss the competition on the field, and the life lessons that come from hard work leading to success.   But, more importantly, we miss meeting new families and making new friends.  A broader connection to our San Francisco community has enriched our lives and is particularly appreciated in troubled times.  Stay well, and hope to see you down the road - on the diamond!

Before you buy a bat...

Little League Baseball® has adopted the USA Baseball bat standard for mandated use effective January 1, 2018.

THIS MEANS THAT ANY BAT PURCHASED TODAY MUST HAVE THE NEW USA BASEBALL STAMP OR IT WILL NOT MEET THE NEW STANDARDS IN 2018.

Please make sure to check the current list of approved bats for this season (Little League has recently revoked approval for some bats):
